a five-year low. how much of a boost is this for president obama? >> in a way it's a huge boost. this is the third straight month of solid growth. growth across all sectors is great for the president. however, the debate we're watching now is whether unemployment benefits will continue. republicans immediately responded to that jobs report by saying hey, maybe we need to ease up on some of this federal health we've been giving to unemployed. democrats don't want to see that happen. they're ready to see this through before the end of the year when unemployment benefits would expire for about 1.3 million people. that would come around the holidays which would make it very difficult. i think that's what we're watching right now, how will this unemployment benefits package be extended. will it be attached to the larger budget deal they're working on even as we speak right now. and, of course, how will republicans respond? are there conservative republicans that would ultimately vote against that package because they believe we need to be a'sing up on these benefits. >> ed, as one of
